About HomeWorks
Brandenburg HomeWorks exists because essential home systems can fail faster than a family, renter, or nonprofit can afford to fix them.
When the heat quits in August or a water heater gives out, we help eligible Highland Lakes neighbors get free or low-cost HVAC and plumbing repairs — handled with care, and decided on clear, published criteria.
How we operate
HomeWorks is organized as a separate charitable program with its own operations leadership. Who gets help is decided by HomeWorks using published eligibility criteria — independently of any sales or service team at the founding sponsor. Skilled trade work is performed or supervised by properly licensed professionals wherever Texas law requires it.
In Texas, heating, air conditioning, and plumbing work may call for licensed professionals, permits, inspections, insurance, or supervision. Volunteer roles are assigned only after review and approval.
Every request is handled with care and dignity. We ask only for what helps us understand the need, confirm fit, and coordinate safe repairs — nothing more.
