Who can apply?

Homeowners, renters, and nonprofit facilities in the Highland Lakes area may apply. Each request is reviewed for fit, urgency, and available resources.

What repairs may be covered?

The MVP focuses on essential HVAC and plumbing repairs that affect health, safety, or the basic use of a home or facility.

Is help guaranteed?

No. Applying starts a review. HomeWorks may need more information, landlord approval, licensed trade availability, or funding before work can move forward.

Can renters apply?

Yes. Renters may apply, but landlord approval may be needed before repair work can begin.

Can nonprofits apply?

Yes. Nonprofit facilities can apply when a repair would help keep services available to the community.

What if this is an emergency?

Do not use this site for emergencies. Call 911 for immediate danger, gas leaks, flooding, electrical hazards, or similar risks. Call 211 for urgent local help.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Brandenburg HomeWorks has applied for 501(c)(3) recognition and that application is pending. A contribution is not assured to be tax deductible. Deductibility may apply only if and when the IRS grants exemption, and donors should ask their tax adviser before claiming any deduction.

Can I deduct volunteer time?

The value of donated time or services is not tax deductible. Some unreimbursed out-of-pocket expenses may qualify; please ask your tax adviser.

Is this connected to a commercial sales process?

No. Applicant information is used for HomeWorks review and coordination. It is not routed into a for-profit sales or marketing system.

What happens after I apply?

A HomeWorks team member reviews the request and may contact you for more information. New requests should be checked by staff at least once per business day.

Is there a phone option?

Yes. A phone alternative is listed on application pages for people who prefer help completing the questions.
